Daddy vs Daughters: £5,000. One Night. The Cotswolds.

This episode

You have £5,000 to create the most ridiculously brilliant one-night stay in the Cotswolds. Where do you stay, what do you eat, how do you get around and what do you do?

One night. £5,000 each. The whole Cotswolds to play with. Daddy will probably want a ridiculous country-house hotel, a very long dinner and a car that makes unnecessary noises. Harriet and G have £5,000 of their own and absolutely no obligation to make sensible decisions. Same budget. Same Cotswolds. Completely different idea of a perfect stay.

Enter the battle

The budget

£5,000

Daddy gets £5,000. Harriet & G get their own £5,000 budget together. You have to stay one night in one Cotswolds hotel, pub, country house or other legitimate place to stay. You are free to explore: your money can be spent on the room, dinner, lunch, afternoon tea, activities, shopping, spa treatments, experiences and transport — including something completely ridiculous if you can actually book it. Everything has to fit within the £5,000. Real prices only. No freebies, favours or “Daddy knows someone.” Go £1 over and you lose. Money left over doesn't earn you extra points — the objective is to create the best experience, not the cheapest one.
